We serve patients in Arizona, Colorado, Florida, and Massachusetts. We strive to make appointments available within 5 days!
Thank you for choosing Constructive Psychiatry! Please save this link for future reference. Constructive Psychiatry is a private practice non-urgent service and does not offer urgent care or emergency services. If you have an emergency, call 911, 988, or report to your closest emergency room immediately.
Patients should confirm they have their correct time zone selected within their patient portal profile. This will ensure that all scheduling and reminders are delivered correctly. If you need assistance, please contact support to have this corrected for you.
NEW Patients: You must complete all onboarding documents under the Documents tab in your portal account at least 48 hours before your first appointment to confirm your appointment. If you schedule within 48 hours, you must complete all onboarding documents within four (4) hours. Unconfirmed appointments will be canceled to make room on the schedule for other patients, and you will be asked to complete your documents and reschedule.
Our support system is here to answer your questions when you have them. Please note we do not offer telephone services. All communication with our team will occur within the patient portal.
Contact Us
All communication with our practice must be done via secure email or text messaging. You can find this information on your current plan of care, on confirmations, and on reminders. Support staff will respond to you within 24 hours on business days.
Please note that no changes to medication or treatment can be made without an appointment. Providers order enough medications to last until the next required appointment. If you have not scheduled your required follow-up and are running out of medication (non-controlled; if the last appointment was within 365 days), you may message your provider to request a 15-day supply to last until you can be seen. Please note that messages to your provider will receive a response within 24 hours during business hours.
**To make ADHD management more affordable to Self-Pay patients, we offer a rapid stimulant follow-up appointment type that is shorter when patients need no changes.**
Tips to Ensure You Have a Positive Experience
1. When you have an appointment with our providers, please be sure you have gathered all of the questions you want to ask during your appointments. This will alleviate the stress you might have between appointments when you are well-prepared.
2. If you have a telehealth session scheduled, be sure you have a good internet connection and that you have tested your connection before your appointment. If you are using the phone app, be sure you have the most up-to-date version.
3. Please remember that you must have your correct time zone selected within your portal account to ensure all scheduling and reminders are shown in your time zone. For example, Arizona is always MST while the rest of Mountain Time moves between MST and MDT each year An Arizona patient must have MST/Arizona selected. You should also download the SimplePractice Client Portal app, as you can complete all tasks and see your correct time zones within the app.
4. Please be aware that your provider will email you a link after your appointment with your updated Plan of Care. On your plan, you will be instructed to follow-up within a specific time period. Please schedule in advance to ensure you get the date and time you prefer. If your primary provider is not available when you need a follow-up, you are welcome to schedule with any of our medication management providers.
5. We are a 100% self-directed and self-scheduling practice that focuses on providing the best in self-service care. We strive to create an efficient and effective system that maximizes time and provides the best of the best in services.
6. If you need to switch an appointment from face-to-face to telehealth more than 24 hours before an appointment, use the patient portal to reschedule to the appointment type you would like. If it is within 24 hours of your appointment time, the system will not allow a change. If your change is within 24 hours, send a message to your provider within the patient portal to change to telehealth. You will receive a new telehealth link when your provider updates your appointment type.
7. Patients must reschedule or cancel appointments at least 24 hours before an appointment date and time to avoid a Late Cancellation Fee. Patients are responsible for "double-checking" scheduled appointments and canceling unnecessary duplicate appointments made within the patient portal. A No Show is defined as not attending or notifying the scheduled provider via messaging in the patient portal within 10 minutes of the appointment time. No Show and Late Cancellation appointments will be charged the agreed recovery fee equal to the self-pay rate for the scheduled appointment (no exceptions) to cover our costs related to the missed appointment, including paying providers for associated missed time, associated losses, and administrative fees.
